Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga has elected Marcus Jones to its board of directors. Jones is an engineer and principle project manager for Tennessee Valley Authority. In addition, Jones is the president and CEO of Magnolia Developments.
A native of Mississippi, Jones earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mississippi.
“We are thrilled to have Marcus join our Board,” said David Butler, president and CEO of the local Habitat. “His technology and industry insight coupled with business and leadership experience will be a valuable addition to the Habitat Board.”
Browder named IFEA Volunteer of the Year
The International Festivals & Events Association and Zambelli Fireworks have selected Chattanooga’s Becky Browder as the recipient of the 2017 IFEA-Zambelli Fireworks Volunteer of the Year Award.
Browder has volunteered with the Riverbend Festival since 1983. Throughout the years, Browder has served in various roles with Friends of the Festival, most recently as vice president and chair for the Festival Visitor Enhancement Committee.
Browder has been a member of the executive committee and chair of the VIP Hospitality Committee and served in other positions during her tenure with Friends of the Festival.
As this year’s winner, Browder was a guest of IFEA and Zambelli Fireworks at IFEA’s annual convention in Tucson earlier this month. She was recognized and presented with her award during the IFEA Awards Luncheon on Sept. 14.
Catholic Health Initiatives promote Hammett
Catholic Health Initiatives has promoted Troy Hammett to senior vice president and chief financial officer of its southeast division. Hammett has more than 20 years of executive and financial leadership experience with complex health systems in Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio, as well as 10 years as a financial and strategic advisor with regional and national healthcare consulting firms.
Hammett has a background in all components of healthcare financial operations as well as strategic plan development, managed care strategy, physician enterprise management and corporate healthcare finance.
Hammett will oversee and coordinate payer strategies, facility services, information technology management and supply chain and real estate services.
He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified public accountant.
In addition to his southeast division role, Hammett will continue to serve as CHI Memorial’s CFO.
