The Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association announces their Home of the Month winner as Willie Humphreys of 3902 Tacoma Avenue in Red Bank.
The Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association nominates and chooses homes that have dramatically improved their curb appeal. While Humphreys has always kept a nice landscape, her home was nearly demolished in the tornado that ran through Red Bank in 2011, causing a tree to fall into her home.
Next-door neighbor Erin Creal says the transformation since then has been dramatic. “I thought her home would be totaled. It was a huge tree that seemed to slice the house in half when it fell, and the roots caused extensive damage to the yard.”
“Ms. Humphreys has always taken pride in the appearance of her home, so it’s nice to be able to recognize that. It’s what we are all about!” says Carla Quinn, chair of Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association.
The Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association is a group of Red Bank residents committed to helping the city be a more desirable place to live. Their community meetings are held quarterly at the Red Bank Community Center behind Erlanger North. All Red Bank residents are welcome to attend.
