Smiles of Chattanooga sponsored a bed build for Sleep in Heavenly Peace Chattanooga on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Drs. Bob Gallien and Erin Eudaly raised money and the rest of the doctors matched their donation to sponsor a bed build for the local chapter of the nationwide charity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Twenty-four volunteers from the dental practice built 18 beds. The beds will be delivered to children in the Chattanooga area who have requested them through the charity’s website (www.SHPbeds.org).
The organization serves children ages 3 to 17 in 37 zip codes in Hamilton County, north Georgia and south Bradley County.
The Chattanooga chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace has delivered 368 beds to area children since launching in February and has over 200 on the wait list.
SHP Chattanooga will hold a public build day in October. See the event’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SHPChattanooga) for the date and location.
