Harry Hawkins has joined Barge Design Solutions as a client service leader in the firm’s Chattanooga office. Hawkins has nearly 35 years of experience in civil engineering and commercial construction, including more than 20 years of serving clients in the Chattanooga and north Georgia region. He previously served as Chattanooga office manager for Terracon Consulting.
Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He is an active volunteer with the Chattanooga Engineers Club, E-week Planning Committee and the Chattanooga Chamber’s Enterprise Gateway Council, where he serves as a board member.
Hawkins’ professional organization memberships include the East Tennessee Safety Council, the Tennessee Building Construction Institute’s executive committee, the Tennessee River Valley Association board of directors and various Green Initiative grant committees.
Ecologist Zach
Buecker joins Stantec in Chattanooga
Zach Buecker has joined design and engineering firm Stantec as an ecologist. He will lead the natural resources team in the firm’s Chattanooga office.
Buecker has more than nine years of experience in ecological studies and National Environmental Policy Act permitting throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Prior to joining Stantec, Buecker served as a wetland biologist for a federal corporation in Tennessee. Buecker has also served as wetland ecologist for the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database at the University of Wyoming.
Buecker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from Frostburg State University and a certification as a qualified hydrologic professional from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
