Baker Donelson last week announce that 248 of its attorneys have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Twenty-six of the firm’s attorneys were also recognized by Best Lawyers as “Lawyers of the Year,” a designation given to a select group of individuals in high-profile specialties in large legal communities. Only a single attorney in each specialty in each community is honored.

Gray; Carl E. Hartley; Thomas O. Helton; Cameron S. Hill; Micheline K. Johnson; James H. Levine; Virginia C. Love; Joshua Powers; Steve Powers; Susan Elliott Rich; William E. Robinson; Ross I. Schram III; Louann P. Smith; Jerry Stauffer; and Philip B. Whitaker.

Four of the firm’s Chattanooga attorneys were also named Chattanooga “Lawyers of the Year”: Beckman, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Securitization and Structured Finance Law; Hartley, Tax Law; Rich, Real Estate Law; and

Robinson, Employee Benefits Law.

Best Lawyers lists are based on peer-review surveys in which over 50,000 attorneys cast more than 5.5 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. The publication covers almost 70 countries and 137 practice areas.
