What’ll they dream up next?

Fridge Locker

The Fridge Locker is a great way to keep the “Refrig-A-Raiders” at bay.
Have you ever had a hankering for your favorite food or drink that you know is waiting for you in the refrigerator, only to discover that somebody has already beat you to it? Or worse, have you ever taken a lunch to work, to find someone rudely nabbed it from you, leaving you with nothing to eat? And what about that alcohol in your refrigerator that mysteriously disappears when your teens are at home alone? These are all situations in which the Fridge Locker would come in handy.
What it is
The Fridge Locker is a way to secure lunch, snacks, drinks, medicine and anything else that you would like to keep safe from “Refrig-A-Raiders” at home, in the office or in a dorm room.
How it works
The Fridge Locker snaps together and has a chrome metal combination lock that you can set yourself. It is durable enough that an 800-pound bear cannot destroy it, yet it weighs only 2 pounds and is portable. It can be used in the refrigerator, freezer or pantry.
Pros and cons
Having one of these in your refrigerator seems awfully selfish. But in this dog-eat-dog world, there are times when you need to keep some things for yourself, even food.
For kids with allergies, it is a great way to lock up food that might be harmful to them. And when the older kids are tempted to sneak some beers or liquor from the refrigerator, this will stop them in their tracks.
The Fridge Locker is 7.5 inches wide, 7.5 inches tall and 11 inches deep. It might take up a considerable amount of space in the refrigerator and may be a little too large for a small dorm refrigerator.
It is no secret that our society has become very obese. This might help keep people out of the foods that they should not be eating in the first place.
For students going to college, this will be a good item to have since living in a dorm with a person you have never met can be a struggle when it comes to knowing what can be shared and what cannot. (I was probably an awful roommate since I sometimes sampled the shampoos or body washes my roommates left in the shower.)
Where to buy
A new Fridge Locker is available on Amazon.com for $19.95 plus shipping.
