The Chattanooga Zoo will host its annual Banana Ball on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 6:30-11 p.m. at the Zoo’s location at 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. Guests will enjoy a presentation by Jeff Corwin, up-close animal encounters, heavy hors d’oeuvres, dancing and an open bar. A cigar bar providing signature hand rolled cigars by Burns Tobacconist will also be made available to attendees.
This year will also feature the Banana Split event for children. Children ages 3 to 12 will be able to meet Jeff Corwin and hear stories from his many adventures around the world. This event will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Zoo on Saturday, October 12. Banana Split sundaes are included.
For those interested in getting to spend time with Jeff, a special VIP Backstage Pass is available for purchase for $150. Pass includes admission to Banana Ball as well as private VIP reception beginning at 5:30 pm.
Banana Ball is the Chattanooga Zoo’s signature fundraising event with all proceeds going to the care of the Zoo’s many animals, as well as its conservation, education and rehabilitation efforts.
“Banana Ball is our most anticipated fundraising event of the year,” Darde Long, executive director of the Zoo said. “We hope everyone will come out and enjoy a magical evening at the Zoo to benefit a great cause.”
