The Tennessee Supreme Court has opened the application period for the position of state Attorney General and Reporter.
In accordance with the Tennessee Constitution, the Attorney General and Reporter is appointed by the state Supreme Court and serves an eight-year term.
Candidates for Attorney General must complete and submit the application and other materials by noon on Friday, Aug. 29. The Court will consider all qualified candidates and notify those who will continue in the selection process. That process will include a public hearing in Nashville.
