Monday, August 15
Happy Valley Farms has bought the retail routes, 19 trucks and engaged abut 20 employees of Ross Moss Farms it was confirmed Monday by Sam Turner, vice-president and manager of Happy Valley. Lyle Finley, secretary-treasurer of Ray Moss Farm said the sale was made necessary by the destructive fire at the farm last Wednesday.

Tuesday, August 16
A total of 261 new businesses were established here in the first seven months of this year, compared to 191 during the comparable period of 1959. The figures were announced by Jim Stovall, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce business and industrial service committee.

Wednesday, August 17
The new Brainerd Senior High School and Bell Elementary School will be completed when the 1960-61 school year begins August 31. Dr. Benjamin E. Carmichael will assume the city school superintendents job vacated by Dr. John W. Letson.

Thursday, August 18
J.W. (Bill) Valentine, a Jaycee for the past 13 years, was presented a life membership in the Chattanooga Junior Chamber of Commerce at Wednesday’s luncheon.
