First Tennessee Bank recently gave Hunter Museum of American Art a check in the amount of $27,000.
The funds will be used to support the more than 120 programs the Hunter Museum puts on each year, and also strengthen and maintain the museum’s extensive permanent collection.
Located in the Bluff View Art District, the Hunter Museum focuses on American art from the Colonial period to the present day. The museum also offers a wide array of public programs, including lectures by scholars and artists, in-gallery dialogues facilitated by community leaders, concerts featuring local musicians, regular tours, and special family events.
Virginia Anne Sharber, executive director of the Hunter Museum, said, “Our longstanding partnership with First Tennessee has allowed us to continuously engage our community and the region with exciting exhibitions and enriching programs. We’re grateful for their unwavering support.”
