Life Care Center of Hixson has named Brian Horvath its executive director.
Horvath completed his administrator training at the skilled nursing and rehab center before most recently serving as executive director at Life Care Center of Morristown.
Born in California and raised in Atlanta, Horvath earned a degree in long-term care administration from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale. He resides in Chattanooga.
Life Care Center of Hixson is one of 27 skilled nursing and rehab facilities Life Care Centers of America manages in Tennessee.
Girls Inc. welcomes Brannock, Hixson
Girls Inc. of Chattanooga recently welcomed Fance Brannock as its new director of program operations and Taylor Hixson as its new chief development officer.
Brannock is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with community partners, while Hixson is tasked with growing and evaluating the fund development profile.
Brannock has been a part of the Girls Inc. staff since 2014 as a program coordinator, working with girls across Hamilton County through literacy programming and seasonal camps.
Hixson has more than seven years of experience in nonprofit development, including serving as the development director for the Humane Educational Society.
Causer joins WWTA board of commissioners
Rick Causer will serve as the Red Bank representative on the Hamilton County Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority board of commissioners.
Causer worked in civil service with the Department of Defense for 13 years after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He served as a commissioner of Red Bank from 2012-2016.
He also served as a WWTA board commissioner during that time. While serving on the WWTA board, he worked on the legal, finance and planning committees.
Helton joins Workforce board of directors
Tennessee State Rep. Esther Helton will serve on the newly created Building and Construction Workforce Center board. The center is a collaborative effort of the state, city, county, school district, Chattanooga State Community College, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee to build a new vocational center at the former Mary Ann Garber Elementary School in East Chattanooga.
The center will serve high school and college students and adults interested in nontraditional education opportunities. The board will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the center as well as programming, curriculum and funding.
The Building and Construction Workforce Center is expected to open in August 2022 with the goal of placing graduating students in a job or in continued education in construction or technical fields.
Helton represents House District 30, which includes part of Hamilton County.
