The Tennessee River and Tributaries Association has called upon the Interstate Commerce Commission to suspend the drastic reduction in grain rates from the Midwest to the South and Southeast proposed by the Southern Railway.

Dr. Joseph W. Graves, Chattanooga surgeon, will be named chairman of Tennessee Valley Medical Assembly during its annual meeting at the Read House September 25-26, Dr. Augustus McCravey, president of Chattanooga and Hamilton County Medical Association, announced Monday.
