The first annual American Digger Chattanooga Civil War Show & Sale will be held at Camp Jordan Arena, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, July 29. More than 200 tables of Civil War relics, World War I and II items, Native American artifacts, old coins and newspapers, artwork, metal detectors and books will be on display, with many items available for purchase. In addition, buyers will be offering free appraisals of items brought in by the public.
Busker’s Festival
The Chattanooga Market will host its third annual Busker’s Festival on Sunday, July 29. Buskers are any street performers who perform for tips. The market will be open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
Back-to-school event
Virginia College will host a back-to-school event on Wednesday, Aug. 1, noon-3 p.m., at the 721 Eastgate Loop campus. The event will be free, open to the public and will feature refreshments for kids, campus tours, bingo, a scavenger hunt and school supply giveaways. Additionally, attendees 18 and older will be able to enter to win gift cards and other prizes.
