Organizations partner for Black women’s health initiative

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women is partnering with the Black Women’s Health Imperative to host a webinar series titled “Our Health, Our Community:  Mobilizing for the Survival of Black Women Beyond COVID-19.” The series will be held July 30, 7 p.m.

The series will address how Black women can take a proactive approach to living healthier lives after the pandemic subsides.

Karen McReynolds, NCBW member and director of multicultural affairs for the City of Chattanooga, will serve as co-moderator for the final webinar along with Sen. Raumesh Akbari, who represents District 29.

The series will also feature other Black women who are leaders in the medical field, corporate America and civic organizations throughout the U.S.

At the conclusion of the webinars, BWHI will release a guide titled “Surviving and Thriving in America: A Guide for Black Women.”
