McLemore selling memberships for second golf course

McLemore has attracted tens of thousands of golfers since opening its 18-hole Highlands Course in 2019. In three years, the resort has achieved national and international recognition, particularly for its 18th hole.

McLemore now plans to add a second mountaintop golf experience called The Outpost.

With 1.5 miles of Lookout Mountain cliff edge to work with, veteran course architects Bill Bergin and Rees Jones have designed an amphitheater-shaped setting in which every hole offers distant views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Outpost will feature one par three, one par five and three par four holes along the cliff edge.

The 18-hole course will offer close to a five-mile walk from the member tees.

The Outpost will feature Bentgrass greens with Zoysia fairways and natural areas with Fescue and Broom Sedge grasses.

Jones says “the natural characteristics of The Outpost site and the views from the mountaintop are such that we’ll be able to create a memorable Golden Age-style design. The opportunities for unique and distinct characteristics for every hole are virtually unlimited. This site is a golf course architect’s dream.”

The Outpost will consist of 125 equity memberships featuring 25 royalty founding memberships, 50 equity founding memberships and 50 equity outpost memberships.

Less than 50% of the 125 Outpost Equity Memberships remain available for reservation for qualified investors.

McLemore plans to open The Outpost in 2024.
