Chattanooga officials are saying a new tool designed in collaboration with local organizations will foster connections between community members and organizations that offer mentoring services for youth.
Mentor Hub will link individuals with varying availabilities, professional backgrounds, skills and interests to mentoring opportunities that align with their attributes, says Mayor Tim Kelly.
“Strong mentors can change the trajectory of young lives, which in turn can change our communities. Chattanooga is full of great people, and I hope this initiative and the ease of this tool inspires potential mentors to take the first step toward making powerful connections across our city.”
The Mentor Hub is accessible at chattanooga.gov/MentorHub. The city of Chattanooga partnered with local organizations to establish the database, which is designed to pair community members with suitable mentorship programs based on their expertise and availability.
The Mentor Hub can also serve as a resource for youth-oriented organizations, notes the city in a news release. By accessing a pool of individuals from various professional backgrounds, organizations can enhance their mentoring initiatives and expand their reach.
