The J.T. Lupton home, “Lyndhurst” in Riverview, recognized throughout the South as one of the finest homes in the area, has been purchased by T.A. Lupton, Jr., president of the Stone Fort Land Company from Cartter Lupton. The house will be razed and the 16 acres of land will be subdivided into approximately 15 lots averaging one acre each in size.
Sunday, July 3
Claude H. Ryan is scheduled to arrive Tuesday from Omaha to assume his new duties as general agent of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. He succeeds H. Graves Edmondson, who retired July 1 after 45 years of service.
Monday, July 4
Hamilton County Quarterly Court Monday went on record as supporting all Democratic nominees in the forthcoming county general election. W.C. Cartinhour, a retired executive of Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company, was reelected to a seven-year term on the county board of education and was praised by members of the court for his “excellent record” as a school board member.
