“Pretty in Pink” executive director wins Fan Favorite award

Lynda Hood, executive director of the Chattanooga Bar Association, won the “Fan Favorite” award at the Dancing with the Stars Chattanooga competition held at the Tivoli Theatre to benefit the Partnership for Families Children and Adults. The Fan Favorite award is given to the dancer who raises the most money for their area of the Partnership through votes and pre-event donations. Lynda raised over $7,900 this way for the Sexual Assault Center which provides services for those violently and/or sexually abused, and acts as the only rape counseling center of its kind in the area, providing a full forensic exam, counseling, court advocacy, police report filing and referrals to other needed services for victims all in one location. Lynda thanks all who supported her efforts, and says the true and deserving winner of this event is the Partnership who will put these donations to good use with their community efforts.
