The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and green|spaces announce the launch of a regional sustainability site highlighting best practices in our region.
“The new sustainability website tells our community’s sustainability story,” said Amanda Ellis, communications coordinator with the Chattanooga Chamber. “The site provides a snapshot of sustainability projects in the area and credits local organizations striving to preserve resources.”
Chattanooga area sustainability experts and Chamber staff collaborated with Chattanooga city and Hamilton County representatives for three months to develop the site, which presents success stories as well as best practices for making sustainable business decisions. The site details the area’s sustainable projects and eco-tourism, as well as sustainability related news and events. Also featured, a detailed timeline charts Chattanooga’s progress from 1969 to present day.
“We designed the site with collaboration in mind,” said Dawn Hjelseth, director of development for green | spaces. “The new site provides a framework and a starting point for news, events, and case studies. We invite businesses and not-for-profits to share success stories through images and practical advice on how sustainability helps us create and maintain a high quality of life for our region.”
