Tom Tolar will retire Jan. 9 after 40 years of service to WRCB-TV. Tolar will retire as the COO of WRCB’s parent company, Sarkes Tarzian.
Tolar began his career with Sarkes Tarzian as general manager of WATI Radio in Indianapolis and was president and general manager of WRCB for 35 years. He has served as president of Sarkes Tarzian Television and chief operating officer for the past three years.
Tolar and his wife, Nancy, live in Hixson. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Sarkes Tarzian has named Pam Teague as Tolar’s replacement. Teague will be responsible for overseeing the company’s television and radio divisions.
Teague currently serves as president and general manager of WRCB, a position she’s held since 2019. Teague has been with the station for nearly 40 years, previously serving as its programming director, controller and station manager.
Teague will be based in Chattanooga but also oversee divisions in Nevada and Indiana.
Trust Company adds Probasco as client specialist
The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired William Probasco as a client specialist.
Probasco earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in business from the University of Tennessee in 2012. He previously served as account manager for Genesco Sports Enterprises in Dallas and marketing manager for the New York Yankees.
He and his wife, Laura, live in Lookout Mountain with their dog, Nellie. He enjoys golf and fly fishing in his free time.
Lenz joins CHI in Ooltewah
Family medicine physician Dr. Wade Lenz has joined CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates in Ooltewah.
Lenz earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed an internship and residency in family practice at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
