Rebekah Cheney is the new development and special events manager for the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera. Prior to joining the CSO, Cheney worked in multiple capacities with the LSU Foundation and in philanthropic trust administration at Wells Fargo.
Cheney will be responsible for managing and leading the CSO’s annual fund campaigns, soliciting corporate and foundation support and spearheading donor engagement initiatives throughout the season.
LBMC announces 4 promotions
Accounting and business consulting firm LBMC has promoted four members of its local staff as part of its effort to focus on client service and company growth.
Brent Jolly has been named a manager in the audit department. Prior to joining LBMC in 2014, Jolly served as assistant coach for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s basketball team. He holds his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University and his master’s degree in business administration from UTC.
Barry VanDelinder has been named a manager in the transaction advisory services department. VanDelinder has professional services experience in the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare and technology industries.
VanDelinder joined LBMC in 2014 after working as a staff accountant for U.S. Xpress Enterprise. He holds his bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and his master’s degree from UTC and is an active CPA in Tennessee.
Kris Kawalski has been named to a senior position in LBMC’s audit department. Kawalski joined the company in 2017 after serving as an intern with the firm. He works in manufacturing, distribution and service related industries. He holds his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UTC.
Amanda Zhou has been named to a senior position in the tax department. Zhou joined LBMC in 2016 as an intern.
She works in a variety of industries, including healthcare and professional services, and has experience assisting managers and partners who provide tax services to high-wealth individuals, closely held businesses, consolidated corporations and multi-state corporations.
Zhou holds her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Tennessee and is proficient in Chinese.
Trident Transport adds HR director
Caroline Kirk brings more than two decades of experience in human resources to Trident Transports as its new director of human resources.
In addition to streamlining policies and procedures in the workplace, Kirk will be partnering with Trident’s staff members to further ground them in the logistics industry and the local community.
She will also be collaborating with Trident’s marketing brand manager to establish the company’s brand throughout the local community.
Kirk earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Columbia Southern.
