Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams attorney Joseph R. White is now a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
The induction ceremony took place before an audience of approximately 600 persons during the 2017 spring meeting of the college in Boca Raton, Florida.
Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only after “careful investigation of trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality,” Spears Moore stated in a press release.
Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for fellowship.
Membership in the ACTL cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are approximately 5,800 members in the United States and Canada, including active fellows, emeritus fellows, judicial fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and honorary fellows.
White is a partner in the firm of Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams and has been practicing in Chattanooga for 29 years. The newly inducted fellow is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee School of Law.
