The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce this month announced the promotion of Yolonda Hayslett to vice president of finance and operations. Hayslett will continue to be responsible for managing a team that handles investor services initiatives, accounting, finance, human resources, information management, legal and risk management, compliance and facilities operations.
Hayslett began her Chamber career in 2005 and has worked as interim vice president of finance and operations for several months.
She volunteers with United Way of Greater Chattanooga, Future Business Leaders of America, the Howard School’s Service-Learning program and TN Achieves. Hayslett also serves as treasurer for the Ch*sing Waterfalls board of directors, a Lawrenceville, Georgia, nonprofit organization.
Before joining the Chattanooga Chamber team, Hayslett worked in accounting at the Chattanooga Group, Olan Mills and Hawker PowerSource.
HHM CPAs welcomes Blevins as audit manager
Amber Blevins has joined the Chattanooga office of HHM Certified Public Accountants as an audit manager. She’ll provide assurance and advisory services to clients in manufacturing and service industries, as well as provide audit work for nonprofit and employee benefit plans.
Blevins is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a master’s in accounting with a concentration in forensic data analytics.
Heinzer appointed to Wastewater Department
The City Council has voted to approve a resolution confirming Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly’s appointment of Mark Heinzer as the administrator for the Wastewater Department.
Heinzer has led the city’s wastewater division on an interim basis for two years.
Kelly says Heinzer will oversee work ranging from major upgrades to revisions to several sections of the system – including pipe replacement.
Henizer is a registered professional engineer with a Master of Science in civil engineering and 20 years of experience in engineering design and project management.
