ArtsBuild opens nominations for Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Award

Actor Alan Cumming will be the featured guest at InterMission, a fundraising event benefiting ArtsBuild’s support of community arts organizations and programming as well as field trips for Hamilton County Schools’ children.

The inaugural event will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, 8 p.m. at the Roland Hayes Concert Hall on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Tickets are on sale at ArtsBuild.com/intermission. Regular tickets are available for $125. VIP tickets are available for $250 and include premium seating during the event, as well as a private reception and photograph with Cumming.

InterMission will also serve as ArtsBuild’s annual recognition event for the recipients of the Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts in Chattanooga.

Nominations for this year’s Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Award may be made at ArtsBuild.com/intermission.

“Ruth Holmberg’s legendary love of the arts continues to enrich the lives of Chattanoogans every day,” says ArtsBuild board member and InterMission co-chair Miles Huff. “She believed the Scenic City should forever be known as a vibrant creative capital, and we’re looking forward to honoring the individuals who share her vision and generous spirit.”

TVA, US Xpress and Coeo Media are sponsoring InterMission.

Cumming is currently the host of the game show series “The Traitors” on Peacock and stars in the musical comedy television series “Schmigadoon!” on Apple TV+.
