The Federal Bar Association this month announced the selection of Chattanooga attorney Tonya Kennedy Cammon to fill an unexpired term as one of two 6th Circuit vice presidents of the organization. FBA President Fern Bomchill, of Chicago, made the appointment. Cammon will serve in the position until October 2013. The 6th Circuit encompasses the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
Cammon has been a member of the FBA for many years, currently serving as immediate past president of the Chattanooga Chapter. She formerly served the Chattanooga chapter as secretary, president-elect and, in 2011, president. During her presidency the chapter expanded its outreach into the community and received the FBA’s Ilene and Michael Shaw Public Service Award at last year’s FBA convention in Chicago.
Cammon is a director in the firm of Grant, Konvalinka & Harrison. She is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, serving for several years on its public service committee, and is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association. Cammon has been the recipient of many awards and honors during her career. Active in her community, Cammon is a member of the Board of the Memorial Health Care Foundation, for which she has served as treasurer during the past two fiscal years.
Cammon is married to Barry Cammon and is the stepmother of three adult children. The Cammons reside on Lookout Mountain with their rescued dog, Barney.
