FSG Bank has signed on as a Platinum Sponsor for Chattanooga non-profit LAUNCH. This partnership, which has been several months in the making, will have the two organizations working closely together to empower LAUNCH youth entrepreneurs.

The two organizations will work side-by-side in significant ways throughout the year.

“I’m excited about this unprecedented partnership between FSG and LAUNCH,” says Arie Veltenaar, LAUNCH’s Manager of Sponsorship and Events. “From the beginning, FSG has been interested in a relationship that encompasses much more than just financial support.

They are going a step beyond by also engaging their employees to be mentors and volunteers with the students participating in our High School Entrepreneurship Program. We could not be more thrilled.”

FSG will work with LAUNCH in training their employees to be youth and group mentors who will work directly with participating students from The Howard School, Tyner Academy, Brainerd High School, and Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy. As mentors, FSG will help guide and advise students when preparing for the High School Entrepreneurship Competition and by participating in workshops held throughout the Fall semester.

“As the region’s largest independently-owned community bank, it is our responsibility and privilege to partner with LAUNCH in making a positive impact in the lives of our children,” said Jeff Olingy, FSG Bank’s director of marketing. “Our team members are excited to get to know these bright students and tell us this experience is life-changing for them personally, as well.”
