Free attention struggle screening

LearningRx Chattanooga will conduct free screenings for those struggling with symptoms of ADD/ADHD on Saturday, May 23 from noon-5 p.m. at the Chattanooga Brain Training Center, located at 2040 Hamilton Place Blvd., next to Marshall’s and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Families interested in the screening are encouraged to make an appointment, as availability is limited. Carmike Cinemas East Ridge 18 blood drive

Carmike Cinemas East Ridge 18 will host a blood drive with Blood Assurance on Monday, May 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The theater is located at 5080 South Terrace. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. The process usually takes about 30 minutes and includes a complimentary snack. Donors are asked to drink plenty of liquids (avoiding caffeine) and eat a meal rich in iron prior to donating. The Faith of Flannery O’Connor

The Southern Lit Alliance is teaming up with Theology on Tap to discuss the prayer journal of acclaimed Southern writer Flannery O’Connor. Three panelists (John Grammer, professor of English at the University of the South; Robert MacSwain, assistant professor of Theology and Christian Ethics at the University of the South; and author Jamie Quatro) will discuss how O’Connor’s Roman Catholic faith comforted her when people rejected her writing and how it impacted her literary style. “A Conversation on the Faith of Flannery O’Connor” will take place Tuesday, May 26 from 7-9 p.m. at The Camp House, located at 149 E. Night Run Chattanooga

The Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga will host Night Run Chattanooga on Saturday, May 30. The event will begin at 9:45 p.m. with a brief program featuring a representative from the consul general of Israel to the southeastern United States and Mayor Andy Berke.
