The Tivoli Theatre Foundation is partnering with the Trust Company of Tennessee to bring six Broadway hits to Chattanooga in 2019 and 2020.
The season will begin Nov. 5-10 with a new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical “Les Misérables,” direct from an acclaimed two and a-half year return to Broadway.
“Beautiful – The Carole King Musical” will tell the true story of King’s rise to stardom Dec. 17-19.
“Cats” will feature all-new lighting and sound design, new choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler (“Hamilton”) and direction by Trevor Nunn (“Les Misérables”) during its Jan. 31-Feb. 2 performances.
“The Color Purple,” the 2016 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival, has been penciled in for March 7-8.
Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher and the team behind “South Pacific,” “The King and I” and 2017 Tony Award-winning Best Play “Oslo” will bring a new production of “Fiddler on the Roof” to Chattanooga April 4-5.
Brought to life by an all-female creative team, “Waitress” will bring the season to a close June 26-28.
