Sometimes, numbers tell a story just as well as words could. The story at RE/MAX Real Estate Center’s LaFayette, Georgia, office is that its agents produced more than $19 million in residential and commercial sales in 2017 – a 40 percent increase over 2016.
The bigger story is that the office has only four, clearly hard-working, agents.
Another story came out of RE/MAX Real Estate Center during its recent 2017 awards luncheon at the Walden Club in downtown Chattanooga: the company’s Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia office placed 18th out of 189 offices in its market area in 2017 with residential sales of $54 million and change.
The Ft. Oglethorpe office also saw significant increases in residential and commercial sales in 2017 compared to 2016, with its 18 sales associates more than doubling the volume of sales they did in 2016.
Joanna Jackson, company co-owner and broker of its LaFayette office, expressed pride in each of the agents, saying, “You did great work in 2017 and we’re excited about what you’re already doing in 2018.”
Before returning to the business of pursuing higher numbers this year, the company gave its agents a pat on the back in the form of awards for their many accomplishments last year.
The distribution of the Club awards, an annual award based on commission earned, came first.
Executive Club award winners at the company’s Ft. Oglethorpe office were Crystal Adams, Martha Alexander, Marla Brack, Becky Smith, Sherryde Southerland and Wayne Thomas.
“These sales associates have shown great preparation, effort, performance and commitment essential to real estate,” Jackson said.
100 Percent Club recipients in Ft. Oglethorpe included Vickie Dycus and Mike Chauncey. “These sales associates have reached a higher milestone with performance and commitment essential to real estate success,” Jackson said.
Cliff Butler, an agent and co-owner of the company, was the only Platinum Club award winner in the Ft. Oglethorpe office. “Cliff had an exceptional year, with his performance and commitment essential to his real estate success,” Jackson added.
Jackson was the sole recipient of an Executive Club award at the LaFayette office. Freddy Caheely and Pam Maples were both welcomed into the 100 Percent Club.
Next, RE/MAX Real Estate Center announced its top performers in 2017. At the company’s Ft. Oglethorpe office, Dycus won the award for having the highest sales volume and Chauncey was recognized for selling the most units.
At the company’s LaFayette’s office, Maples delivered the highest sales volume and the most units sold. Maples also earned the highest gross commission of the agents at both offices, making her the company’s overall top sales leader.
RE/MAX Real Estate Center did more than honor its agents for selling a healthy amount of real estate in 2017; the company also honored three of its agents with management- and peer-voted awards.
The Red, White and Blue Award went to Adams for being “supportive of fellow her associates as well as company management and ownership, for representing the company in the best manner possible at all times and for considering the well-being of fellow associates and the company in all actions,” Jackson said.
Above the Crowd awards went to both Becky Smith and Maples, each of whom fought back tears upon learning she was a recipient. This award is presented to the person who “truly is above the crowd,” Jackson noted. “This person offers assistance and support to others and conducts him or herself with the utmost of professionalism. This person is perceived to be an outstanding agent and well respected within the real estate industry.”
RE/MAX Real Estate Center is locally owned and operated, with its two offices serving the Greater Chattanooga area and North Georgia.
