Jeff Cunningham has joined the firm of Miller & Martin as a member, bringing additional depth to the firm’s general counsel services and emerging business practice groups within its corporate department.
With approximately 20 years of experience in representing entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes, Cunningham will also serve as a vice-chair of Miller & Martin’s corporate department.
Cunningham focuses his legal practice on serving as outside corporate counsel to mid-sized businesses. He advises clients, which range from entrepreneurs and start-ups to large privately held companies, through all phases of the business lifecycle, including choice of entity, business plan development, capital raising, debt and equity financing, ownership agreements, commercial transactions, joint ventures and exit strategies.
“In 2017, our firm established a practice group focused on general counsel services to small and medium-sized businesses. While we have always offered these services, we identified a need for enhancing and formalizing these existing offerings in the markets we serve,” says Jim Haley, chairman of Miller & Martin.

Cunningham also will concentrate on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and corporate finance. He has worked and will continue to work with business clients across such diverse industries as manufacturing, distribution, business and professional services, staffing and residential and commercial construction, as well as a variety of technology businesses and Internet-of-Things ventures.
Prior to joining Miller & Martin, Cunningham was a partner with Seyfarth Shaw.
Cunningham received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, an MBA from Georgia State University Robinson College of Business and a degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.
