A warning for those of you who are seeing the shift to warmer weather as an opportunity to lose some of your winter inches*: Nothing Bundt Cakes is not playing fair.

*Doesn’t “inches” sound less daunting than “pounds?”

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a national bakery company with one mission: to sell delicious bundt cakes to weak-willed dessert fans.

For the uninitiated, a bundt cake is a ring-shaped cake baked in a tube pan with ridged sides. Popular bundt cakes include classics like vanilla, chocolate and lemon, as well as seasonal options like pumpkin spice and carrot cake.

Nothing Bundt Cakes likes to shake things up with its “pop-ups” – unconventional bundt cakes that appear on their menu for a brief time. Oreo Cookies & Cream, for example.

The bakery’s current pop-up is a bundt cake take on churros, a popular Mexican dessert. Churros are a fried pastry that’s long and ridged and coated with cinnamon sugar.

You can see where I’m going with this. Or maybe you can all “bundt” taste it.

“For a limited time” (meaning as long as supplies last), Nothing Bundt Cakes has brought back their fan-favorite Churro Dulce de Leche. They’ve also introduced their new Churro de Chocolate.

Introduced in 2023, the Churro Dulce de Leche consists of a cinnamon spice bundtlet** topped with cinnamon sugar and filled with dulce de leche, a creamy confection made by heating sweetened milk.

**A bundtlet is a bundt cake made for one. Don’t let ANYONE tell you it’s meant to be shared.

The new Churro de Chocolate bundtlet replaces the dulce de leche with a silky chocolate sauce.

Locals who want to try the Churro duo at either 2321 Lifestyle Way in Chattanooga or 5760 Highway 153 in Hixson should act quickly – the original was gone in a matter of days when it last returned as part of the 2024 Taste of Summer collection.

See what I mean about Nothing Bundt Cakes not playing fair? Fortunately, you can beat the brick-and-mortar bunch to the punch at www.nothingbundtcakes.com or through the Nothing Bundt Cakes mobile app, which allows you to order for pickup or delivery.

I’ll see you at Nothing Bundt Cakes. Just don’t expect me to share.
