Chattanooga Realtor Bekah Cochran and the Bekah Cochran Team will host a free first-time homebuyer’s workshop Thursday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Keller Williams Realty, located at 202 Manufacturers Road.
“There’s a lot of contradictory information on the Internet about real estate today, from do-it-yourself blogs to market information that doesn’t apply to your market,” says Cochran. “[We want] ... to educate home buyers on what to expect when they make the plunge, from correct market analysis to choosing a lender and beyond.”
The workshop, Home Buying 101, will feature a panel of industry professionals in lending, title work, insurance, home inspection, termite inspection, and real estate. “The goal is to share advice and allow ample time for potential home buyers to ask questions and start putting together their plan of action,” says Cochran. The panelists will answer questions about what comes first in buying a home and where to start.
Panelists will include Dale Whaley of Platinum Financial Funding, Jen Lloyd of Foundation Title and Escrow, Kevin Edmunds of Liberty Mutual Insurance, Alexander Herrick of Professional Real Estate Inspection Services, Clay Cochran with Jody Millard Pest Control, and Cochran Team members Cochran, Lauren Topping, Amanda Garrison, Kacie Baker, and Kim Love.
Cochran is a Realtor with Keller Williams Downtown Chattanooga. She began her real estate career in 2007 after earning a degree in Pre-K Education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Cochran is an active member of the Chattanooga community, and serves her alma mater as an ARC Fitness Instructor. She also holds memberships with the Chi Omega Alumni Chapter and the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors.
Bekah lives on Signal Mountain with her husband, Clay, and their two children, Cole and Charlotte Grace.
