Care manager Ellis joins Chambliss estate planning team

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has added William “Dub” Ellis to the firm as an elder law and special needs care manager. Ellis will collaborate with the firm’s estate planning practice area to deliver tailored, comprehensive elder law services to Chambliss’ clients.

“Dub’s background as a licensed social worker who’s handled challenging medical and life-related obstacles, coupled with his personal approach to advocacy, will benefit our clients as they navigate the intricacies of elder law and special needs care,” says Mark Cunningham, president and managing shareholder.

With over two decades of experience, Ellis is a Tennessee Licensed Master Social Worker who centers his work on elevating individuals, addressing immediate needs and planning for future goals. He’s known for his “compassionate support, insurance navigation and placement strategies,” adds Cunningham.

“Dub’s careful and respectful approach, combined with a deep understanding of emotional and psychological needs, sets him apart as a trustworthy advocate for clients and their families. His transformative client service philosophy includes fostering resilience and optimizing the well-being of those who seek his counsel.”

Ellis collaborates with interdisciplinary teams throughout various levels of health care and housing situations, including hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, palliative care, hospice care, independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation facilities and nursing homes.

Ellis is a member of the Tennessee Society of Health Care Social Workers and a past recipient of the organization’s Chattanooga Chapter Social Worker of the Year award. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work.

“Dub brings an additional level of warmth and compassion to our work,” says Chambliss Care Manager Amy Boulware. “I’m excited to collaborate with him and witness the positive impact he’ll have on individuals and families with unique needs in our community.”
