The Chattanooga Zoo is bringing back the Run Wild 5K and one mile races. Taking place Saturday, April 30 at the zoo, the 5K race will begin at 8 a.m. and feature a challenging run through Warner Park and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The one-mile race will get underway at 8:30 a.m. and take place within the zoo. Run Wild will raise funds for the zoo’s expansion and growth efforts. Runners will be greeted at the finish line by some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors, along with refreshments, music, and more.
Participants in both races are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite animal.
All Run Wild registrants will receive a complimentary Run Wild t-shirt and packet, as well as zoo admission for the day.
Awards will be presented to overall winners for the 5K and one-mile races.
Registration is available online at www.chattzoo.org/runwild through April 29. Pre-registration packet pick up will take place at the zoo on Friday, April 29 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 30 beginning at 7 a.m. Onsite registration is available on the day of the race at 7 a.m. Strollers are allowed.
