Legal Aid of East Tennessee has named Charlie McDaniel director of operations for its nine offices across the Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Johnson City areas, including two Family Justice Centers and a Medical-Legal Partnership with Erlanger Health System.
McDaniel was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2009 after receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis School of Law. He is also admitted to the Federal Bar for the East District of Tennessee and is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations.
McDaniel serves on the Pro Bono Committee of the Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission, the Access to Justice Committee of the TBA, and the Executive and Steering Committees of the Chattanooga Family Justice Center. He is also Chair of the TBA’s Medical Legal Partnership Working Group. In addition, he’s an associate member of the Justices Ray L. Brock Jr. and Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court and editor of the TBA’s Volunteer Attorney Newsletter.
McDaniel is the recipient of the 2014 New Advocate of the Year Award, given by the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services, and graduated as part of the 2015 class of the TBA Leadership Law program.
