The Association for Visual Arts will bring its annual festival back to the First Horizon Pavilion Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., featuring 140 artists from 27 states, including more than a dozen from the Chattanooga area. The artists will bring work in a variety of media, including painting, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, wood, glass, photography and more. More details at 4bridgesartsfestival.org. Be My Neighbor Day
WTCI PBS will host the event 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at 7540 Bonnyshire Drive. It will feature activities for children and PBS KIDS characters. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is sponsoring the event. Creative Discovery Museum, Hamilton County Schools, Art 120, the City of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Public Library and the Hamilton County Health Department will join WTCI at the event, which will include appearances from Daniel Tiger and Molly of Denali, as well as a petting zoo and a working trolley. UTC orchestra spring concert
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra will present its annual spring concert at 3 p.m. in the UTC Fine Arts Center’s Roland Hayes Concert Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the adjacent Lupton Hall parking garage. Both the parking garage and the Roland Hayes Concert Hall are handicap accessible. The program will feature the premiere of “The Empress of Ireland” by UTC music composition major Tyler West. The performance also will include dances from “The Nutcracker Suite” and “Danzon No. 2.” The 55-member college orchestra includes university music majors, UTC music faculty, area music educators and other local amateur and professional musicians.

Women Build Brunch
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga will host this annual brunch at the Chattanoogan Hotel, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. It is presented by Hamico and Real Estate Partners. Property developer Andrea Hardaway will deliver the keynote address.
Habitat also will honor mother Shirley Pitner, 78, and daughter Sherry Pitner, 55, a resilient duo that has worked through the challenges of Sherry’s kidney disease since she was 10 years old and have been accepted into Habitat’s homeownership program. Purchase tickets at www.habichatt.org.

East Ridge Craft Fair
Friends of the East Ridge Library will host the fair to benefit the library. The event will take place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the East Ridge Community Center (1515 Tombras Avenue) and feature local vendors, food, a petting zoo, pony rides and door prizes. The East Ridge City Library’s Teen Advisory Board will also host a bake sale. Funds collected from the fair will be used to assist with the library’s programs that benefit children, teens, seniors and other members of the community. Parking and admission will be free.
