Public Art Chattanooga this week announced the installation and dedication of a new sculpture in the Brainerd Hills neighborhood.

Selected by the Brainerd Hills Neighborhood Association, the sculpture, entitled, “Fiercely (Over I)” is by Lexington, Ky., artist Andrew Light.

The neighborhood selected the sculpture because it represents pride in neighborhood history, commitment to helping one another, and standing together for a common cause. The sculpture was made possible with support from Councilwoman Carol Berz and funding from Commissioner Tim Boyd and the Brainerd Hills Neighborhood Association.

The public is invited to attend a dedication on Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m at The Point, located at the intersection of East Brainerd Bass Roads. Refreshments will be served following the dedication. For more information contact: publicartchattanooga1@gmail.
