Erlanger Health has named Dr. Jason Cox chief medical officer of Erlanger East.
Cox brings more than 20 years of experience in hospital medicine leadership to the role. He previously served as medical director of the Erlanger Hospitalist Group, where he led a team of more than 50 physicians and advanced practice providers across two locations.
A board-certified family medicine physician, Cox has held medical director roles with multiple Tennessee health systems. His work has included developing hospitalist programs, improving care quality and strengthening collaboration between physicians and nursing teams.
Gray selected to co-chair Baker Donelson group
The law firm Baker Donelson has named Russell Gray co-chair of its labor and employment group, where he will serve alongside Jennifer McCarty in guiding the group’s strategy and growth.
Gray, a shareholder based in the firm’s Chattanooga office, will continue his legal practice while taking on the leadership role. He previously served as managing shareholder of the Chattanooga office and as a member of the firm’s board of directors.
He brings more than 25 years of experience representing local, regional and national clients in labor and employment matters as well as commercial litigation.
His work includes advising clients across industries such as food, hospitality, manufacturing and health care, and handling issues related to wage and hour disputes, drug testing policies, employee handbooks, noncompete agreements, union activity and employment litigation.
Gray has litigated cases before courts and government agencies in about 20 states and regularly defends clients in class and collective actions, discrimination claims, unfair labor practice allegations and disputes involving confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements.
His commercial litigation practice includes antitrust matters, contractual disputes, trade secrets, stock valuation and real property, as well as complex class actions and multidistrict litigation.
Gray has been recognized in “Best Lawyers in America” for multiple labor and employment categories since 2011 and was named the publication’s 2026 Litigation – Labor and Employment Lawyer of the Year in Chattanooga. He has also been selected to Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2011.
He earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law and his undergraduate degree, with high honors, from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Drayer marks 30 years with Morgan Stanley
Financial advisor Whitney Drayer is marking 30 years with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, reflecting a career focused on guiding clients through long-term financial planning and investment decisions.
Drayer, a senior vice president, has worked with the firm since 1996, providing personalized financial advice and portfolio management to clients in Chattanooga and beyond. In his role, he has emphasized long-term relationships and helping clients navigate changing market conditions.
He credited mentors Scott Mattice and Michael Tomshack with shaping his approach to client service, including an emphasis on integrity and maintaining a consistent presence in clients’ financial lives.
Beyond his professional work, Drayer has been active in the Chattanooga community through a range of charitable efforts. His involvement has included fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, volunteering at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, assisting families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, supporting the Chambliss Center for Children and delivering Easter baskets to patients at Erlanger Children’s Hospital.
Trevino promoted at First Horizon’s Erlanger branch
First Horizon Bank has promoted Chelsie Trevino to assistant vice president and banking center manager for its Erlanger Medical Center branch.
In her new role, Trevino will oversee daily operations at the banking center, with a focus on business development, sales leadership and relationship building. She will be responsible for leading her team and supporting continued growth at the branch.
Trevino joined First Horizon in 2018 as a bank teller and has since advanced through several roles, including senior teller, relationship banker and senior relationship banker.
