The Humane Educational Society (HES) invites guests to join the organization for the ninth annual Rescues on the Runway, to be held at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel in the Imperial Ballroom on Saturday, May 7 beginning at 6 p.m. The event boasts a gourmet meal, spirits, a live and silent auction, and a one-of-a-kind runway show.
Rescues on the Runway features special needs animals (HES) has helped throughout the year. As part of its mission, HES treats the medical needs of sick and injured animals who find their way to the shelter. The runway show highlights the courageous and heartbreaking stories of these precious pets but not without also sharing their happy endings.
“Rescues on the Runway is a unique night out filled with food, fun, and laughter,” said Taylor Hixson, development manager at HES. “Please come share in the joy of lives saved and forever changed by love. The event offers a great night out with friends and family and the chance to be a part of the Humane Educational Society’s lifesaving efforts.”
HES takes in up to 5,000 homeless pets each year. As an open-door facility for Hamilton County residents, it provides shelter and care for homeless pets, adoption services, animal protection, cruelty investigations, and pet licenses. “HES is committed to finding every treatable, adoptable, and trainable animal in its facility a loving home,” said Hixson.
