A public barge dock and distribution terminal facility to involve an ultimate expenditure of over $1,500,000 is being erected on the north side of the Tennessee River between Olgiati Bridge and the Cargill, Inc. property.

Tuesday, April 18

J.D. Kennedy, Jr., was named Tuesday as top salesman of the month and Thomas Mann as runner-up at the first monthly report breakfast of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Dynamo of Dixie Membership Contact Club. In less than a month, 49 new members have been obtained with subscriptions totaling $2,724.

Rt. Rev. John Vander Horst was named bishop coadjutor of the Episcopal Church in Tennessee Wed-nesday, a position that puts him in line to be the next bishop of the statewide diocese, in the event of the retirement or death of Rt. Rev. Theodore N. Barth of Memphis, the present bishop.
