Charles W. Hogan, re-tired Chattanooga attorney and member of a prominent pioneer Chattanooga family, died Sunday morning at the Alexian brothers Rest Home on Signal Mountain.

An estimated 700 persons attended the dedication of the new Soddy-daisy Junior High School Sunday afternoon.
Tuesday, March 7
President Crawford H, Greenewalt of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, has written Mayor Olgiati that in his opinion the annexation program in Chattanooga is government without consent of the governed and violates the democratic principles on which this country was founded. The letter is in response to Mayor Olgiati’s letter protesting the company’s role in opposing legislation pending in Nashville aimed at continuing the right of cities to annex without referendum.

The appointment of W.W. Robinson, Jr., Chattanooga, industrialist as Hamilton County chairman for the Share-in-America Campaign was announced Wednesday by Sam Yarnell, County U. S. Savings Bonds Chairman. The special campaigns will be conducted the week of April 10.
