Monday, March 21
Richard L. Moore, Jr., president of Loveman’s, Inc., has been named to the 1960 Economy in Govern-ment Committee of the National Retail Merchants Association, Alfred C. Thompson, NRMA president reported.
Tuesday, March 22
Donald H. Overmyer, president of the Chatta-nooga Box and Lumber Company has been appointed chairman of the University of Chattanooga’s 75th Anniversary Fund Commercial Committee, Dr. James L. Fowle, general chairman of the campaign announced.
Wednesday, March 23
Three Chattanooga youths were elevated to Eagle Scout rank at a court of honor of the Battlefield District held Tuesday night at First Baptist Church. Mayor Olgiati made the Eagle awards to David Erickson, Terry Rendleman and Fredrick Martin Thur-man. Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Erickson, is one five Eagle Scouts in a family of 14 children.

Damage to Hamilton County roads the past
two months from ice and snow totals approximately $150,000, County Manager A.L. Bender said Wednesday.
