Trident Transport has named Alex Nation director of sales of the Chattanooga branch. Nation has been with the company since November 2017 and was promoted to regional sales manager within 90 days of employment.
Since then, Nation has achieved numerous accolades within the company, including Account of the Year and the Million Dollar Revenue award this past December.
Nation currently leads a team of more than 10 logistics coordinators and regional sales managers.
CHI Memorial welcomes Rachel Labovitz, M.D.
Rachel Labovitz, M.D., has joined CHI Memorial Chattanooga Internal Medicine Group.
Labovitz earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at UAB.
She has worked as an assistant professor and lead physician in the department of internal medicine at UAB. She’s board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Austin Hatcher welcomes three new board members
The Austin Hatcher Foundation has welcomed three new board members to its leadership team.
Wanda Phipatanakul, M.D., earned a degree in pre-medicine from Union College and furthered her education at both Loma Linda University and Harvard School of Public Health. She has been on the faculty at Harvard Medical School for nearly 19 years.
Phipatanakul is currently a senior physician and director of the Asthma Clinical Research Center at Boston Children’s Hospital and a professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
Angie Burton is a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate who’s a producer and project manager at Tombras Group Advertising, based out of Knoxville. Before joining Tombras, Burton’s career included 14 years as a producer and production manager with The Johnson Group in Chattanooga.
Chattanooga native Clay Watson is the third addition to the foundation’s board. Watson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and currently serves as the president and dealer principal at Mountain View Ford Lincoln.
Fred White named vice president of TRM Insurance
TRM Insurance has named Fred White vice president of the life and long-term care division of the insurance agency. White brings over four decades of industry experience to the newly created position. Before joining TRM Insurance, White was a regional insurance strategist with BB&T Life Insurance Services.
White is the current government relations director of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in Chattanooga and was named the Tennessee Insurance Professional of the Year in 2007 by the same organization. He is a past president of both the Chattanooga and Tennessee Associations of Life Underwriters and the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants.
LBMC hires industry veteran
Bryan Wilton, former president of Columbus US, has joined LBMC Technology Solutions as vice president.
At Columbus US, Wilton helped both enterprise and midmarket customers across the U.S. integrate new technologies into their businesses. He brings more than 23 years of experience in the industry and has held multiple industry leadership and consulting positions throughout his tenured career as a Microsoft business solutions consultant.
Before that, Wilton spent 17 years in public accounting.
