Tennessee State Parks will host free guided hikes on Saturday, March 18, to celebrate the coming of spring. The hikes closest to Hamilton County will take place at Red Clay State Historic Park and Harrison Bay State Park. To take part in the Red Clay hike, a stroll along the Council of Trees Trail, meet Ranger Logan Cammarata at the park’s gazebo at 10 a.m. To join the Harrison Bay hike, meet Ranger Jordan Brison at the park’s CampStore at 7:15 a.m. Red Clay State Historic Park is located at 1140 Red Clay Park Road SW in Cleveland; Harrison Bay State Park is located at 8411 Harrison Bay Road in Harrison. Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer support group
The support group for women at risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancers will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 4:30-6 p.m. at the Rees Skillern Cancer Institute at CHI Memorial, 2525 de Sales Ave. Catherine Marcum, advanced practice nurse with training in clinical cancer genetics through the City of Hope, and Rhonda Edwards facilitate the group. Rescues on the Runway
The Humane Educational Society will host Rescues on the Runway on Saturday, March 25, 6 p.m., at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Imperial Ballroom. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal as well as complimentary wine and beer. Vegetarian options will be available.

EXPO Chattanooga
EXPO Chattanooga will take place Wednesday, March 29 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Presented by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature more than 230 exhibitors. EXPO Chattanooga is free and open to the public. Booth hours: 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.
Spring plant sale at Crabtree Farms
Crabtree Farms will host its annual spring plant sale, Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9. Hours will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday. Products will include hundreds of fruit, vegetable and herb plant starts for spring and summer gardens. In addition to the sale, guests will be invited to enjoy food, live music, free workshops and local crafts. Crabtree Farms is located at 1000 E. 30th St.
Sculpture Fields Anniversary Celebration
Sculpture Fields will celebrate its first anniversary Saturday, April 8 with a day-long event. Taking place from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., the festivities will be free and open to the public.
Guests will be able to see the installation of a 60-foot steel sculpture by internationally known sculptor John Henry, enjoy a performance by the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera’s wind ensemble, purchase concessions, watch artists paint and draw, and finish off the day with the burning of a 15-foot wooden structure by artist Andrew Nigh.
Sculpture Fields is a 33-acre international sculpture park with 33 monumental-scale sculptures, 1.5 miles of walking paths and 100 trees in its Commemorative Forest.
