Two new attorney hires are settling in at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel. Jarrod Casteel and Melani LaMar will both serve the firm’s real estate section.
Casteel specializes in a broad spectrum of matters, such as commercial leasing, acquisition, financing, development and property management. His experience extends to collaborating with contractors, architects, property managers, investors, developers, entrepreneurs and growth-focused individuals and businesses.
Casteel has led numerous development deals ranging from small purchases to complex multimillion-dollar transactions.
He graduated from Lee University, the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and the University of Tennessee College of Law. In addition, he’s the chairman of the Cleveland Land Bank Authority board of directors. Casteel is licensed to practice in Tennessee.
LaMar has an extensive background in commercial real estate and a track record of managing the life cycle of real estate development projects, including negotiating with lenders, facilitating complex multimillion-dollar loan closings, negotiating deed-in-lieu and foreclosure documents and drafting easements.
She guides clients through the complexities of commercial real estate, offering comprehensive legal counsel on development projects, resolutions, LLC agreements, property acquisitions, lease agreements and contracts.
LaMar graduated from the University of Alabama and Samford University Cumberland School of Law. She’s licensed in Tennessee and Alabama.
