TASTE, a fundraiser hosted by The Kidney Foundation, invites food fanatics and fans of all things local to experience the different “tastes” Chattanooga has to offer on March 8 from 5-9 p.m. at Warehouse Row. TASTE, with a previous life as Taste of Chattanooga, is an event that appeals to all facets of Chattanooga culture. Ticket holders will be entitled to free samplings of local cuisine from many of Chattanooga’s finest restaurants, plus one drink ticket to be used for beer, wine or other non-alcoholic beverages. Liquor will also be available for purchase at a cash bar.
There will be a wide array of cuisines, ranging from exotic Thai to classic Southern BBQ, from locally owned and operated restaurants. Each restaurant will set up its own table to provide samples of delicious dishes for attendees.
A competition featuring skilled chefs will take place from 7-8 p.m. TASTE goers will have the opportunity to watch as each chef prepares a gourmet dish for judging. Other “tastes” of Chattanooga featured throughout the event include entertainment from our local music scene, a sampling of local visual art on display and strolling models featuring fashions from Chattanooga’s own boutiques.
Local media personalities will emcee the event, engaging attendees and the chefs themselves with questions and lively commentary.
All proceeds benefit The Kidney Foundation. Visit www.tastechatt.com for more info.
