Attorney Michael Brown has joined Miller & Martin’s Chattanooga office as an associate in the corporate department.
Brown’s practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, transportation law, as well as emerging business and general counsel services.
With a practice emphasis on trusts, estates and wealth management, Brown advises high net worth individuals and business owners regarding the planning and administration of wills, trusts, business succession and asset transfer strategies.
Brown also helps companies met their business objectives by counseling them through legal needs that might arise during their growth.
Brown has an educational background in transportation law. He graduated from Tulane University School of Law with a certificate of specialization in Maritime law and an externship with the U.S. Coast Guard’s JAG corps.
Brown earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University, where he double majored in entrepreneurial management and communication studies. While there, he founded TCU’s Flying Club and was a member of the athletic department’s spirit team.
A licensed pilot, Brown flies seaplanes on the Tennessee River and is involved with the Seaplane Pilots Association, the Tri-State Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge, and the Collegedale Airport’s chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Brown is a licensed attorney in Tennessee and a member of the Tennessee and Chattanooga bar associations and the American Bar Association’s Trust & Estates and Transportation Law sections.
A Chattanooga native, Brown is an alumnus of McCallie School and a lifelong member of the Church on the Lake in Soddy Daisy.
