Chattanooga State Community College this month recognized Card-Monroe for its $100,000 donation to the Chattanooga State Foundation. The gift helped to equip a state-of-the-art learning lab designed to provide hands-on training for current and future students.
The new Card-Monroe Manufacturing Lab is housed in the college’s Center for Engineering, Technology, Arts and Sciences building.
“Our partnership with Chattanooga State has provided employees who have been a part of our success,” said Brad Card, president, Card-Monroe. “We’re thankful for the long-lasting relationship we’ve had.”
Addressing students who will benefit from the new lab, Allen Neely, vice president of operations at Card-Monroe, said, “Skilled training allows us to be a provider when you’re ready to have a family. The labor market is short and skilled labor is in high demand. There are good paying jobs and work in many different industries.”
Card-Monroe is a manufacturer of tufting technology.
