The Chattanooga Chapter of the American Inns of Court raised $21,640 in December through a charity auction benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center: The Emmy Haney House, marking the fourth consecutive year the organization has named the CAC as the auction’s beneficiary.
Funds were raised through auction items purchased at a Dec. 4, 2025 event attended by Inn members, along with individual donations made by members. Over four years of supporting the CAC through its annual auction, the Chattanooga chapter has raised nearly $130,000 to support the organization’s work in the community.
“We are so thankful for the ongoing partnership and support from the Inns of Court for the fourth year in a row,” says Kristen McCallie, executive director of the CAC. “The continued generosity of this group illustrates commitment to support kids and their families who have experienced abuse. This issue affects families across the county, and these funds will help us serve more kids during their most difficult moments.”
The CAC is a private, nonprofit agency established in 1991 to provide a safe, child-focused environment where children who have experienced abuse and their families can receive services in a single location. The organization provides forensic interviews, medical examinations, therapy and family advocacy services at no cost to children from birth through age 18.
Accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, the CAC has served more than 32,000 children since opening its doors.
“This auction reflects the collective commitment of our members to the community we serve,” says Jimmy Rodgers, president of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Inns of Court. “Although our mission centers on excellence in the legal profession, we also recognize that our responsibilities extend beyond our professional work.”
More than 200 lawyers and judges belong to the Chattanooga chapter of the American Inns of Court, which focuses on improving professionalism, ethics and civility within the legal community.
