Greater Chattanooga Realtors this week announced its support of mayoral candidate Kim White.
“Our Chattanooga Realtors are invaluable assets to our community and allies in my mission to strengthen access to housing that meets our residents’ income levels,” White says.
“Realtors dedicate their lives to helping families, businesses and organizations navigate what can otherwise be a confusing buying process. I’m deeply appreciative of Greater Chattanooga Realtors and their support in this campaign.”
The support of a mayoral candidate by Greater Chattanooga Realtors, which is composed of 2,400 members, involves a recommendation from the organization’s board of directors to the Tennessee Realtors Political Action Committee to provide funding to the candidate.
The Realtors Political Action Committee promotes the election of candidates who support private property rights across the U.S. using voluntary contributions by Realtors.
The Greater Chattanooga Realtors board of directors recommends a candidate based on the suggestion of the association’s RPAC trustees, which invites all candidates to an interview about industry events and issues impacting private property rights.
After speaking with the candidates who accept the invitation, the trustees submit their collective choice to the board. Once the board approves the recommendation, it sends the candidate’s name to the Tennessee Realtors Political Action Committee for final consent.
“Kim’s commitment to serving all Chattanoogans is evident in her proactive approach to helping residents and businesses thrive,” says Darlene Brown, president of Real Estate Partners. “As our city and country look to brighter days ahead, Kim is the leader I trust at the helm of our city.”
